Song for Nepal was written and recorded as an offering by David Newman in response to and support of the relief efforts in Nepal after the devastating earthquake in April 2015. Song for Nepal was conceived with the intention to inspire others to share their hearts, prayers, and generosity with the people of Nepal in their deepest time of need. David recorded the song with producer/musician Eric Bazilian, and bassist Bakithi Kumalo, and offered all proceeds to the Seva Foundation for their Nepal Earthquake relief and rehabilitation fund. Song for Nepal is an expression of compassion in action and a healing gesture to a country and its people that have offered spiritual inspiration to humanity throughout the ages.
